Week One

Write about your feelings the first day of work. Were your expectations the same as your experience? Why or why not?

My first day at Raising Cane's was quite awkward. This was not my first job, but my previous job was extremely lax. I was afraid that I would not fit into the corporate world of chicken. I was appalled when I found out how everything was ordered. There were lists of checklists on top of checklists. I was not used to any of this, actually I found it kinda funny. After getting the run through of the business, I was allowed to test my new found chicken skills. I was constantly corrected about being perkier and saying thank you that one extra unnecessary time. Thankfully, I recived one of the best trainers. A girl named Janet that reminds me of you; Mrs. Scredon. She helped me out a lot, and she understood when I messed up. At the end of the day I went home feeling down. Maybe I was not ment to sell chicken? I now feel that if I hadn't been so nervous I might have done better on my first day.
